Access and Resource Services

Preservation Department

Overview

Units in the Access and Resource Services division are responsible for the acquisition, description, circulation, delivery, preservation, and digitization of library resources in all formats. Staff interact with library users in person on Level 2 of the Woodruff Library building (entrance and circulation desk) and the Science Commons in the Atwood Chemistry Center. Staff also engage with library users online through interlibrary loan and reserves web applications and through Ask A Librarian.

The University Librarian created the Access and Resource Services division by merging the former Content Division with the Access Services department on an interim basis in 2017 and then formally on April 1, 2018.
