The International Area Studies librarians develop international resources in various foreign languages and provide library services to Emory faculty and students in these areas, programs and academic departments of African Studies, Chinese Studies, East Asian Studies, Japanese Studies, Jewish Studies, Korean Studies, Latin American & Caribbean Studies, Middle East & Islamic Studies, Russian, East European and Eurasian Studies, and South Asian Studies. Besides covering these international regions, Area Studies librarians also manage the collections in the subject areas of humanities and social sciences, namely history, film, literature, music, political science, religions, public health, gender and sexuality studies, etc. working closely with the related subject librarians.
