Content Strategy Committee

Overview

The Content Strategy Committee brings together stakeholders from across the libraries to collaboratively address opportunities and challenges surrounding library-created content for our different user groups. This committee takes a holistic and broad view of content to ensure that all our content channels work together and that we do not introduce silos, inconsistencies, or gaps in communication.

Areas of Focus

The Emory Libraries create content on and for a variety of channels.  The committee will consider the following content areas:

  • Emory Libraries websites
  • LibGuides
  • Blogs
  • YouTube videos
  • Calendar events such as workshops and classes (not public programming)
  • Canvas modules for library instruction

Members

Membership will consist of stakeholders who create content and who are aware of the needs of their library or department as well as stakeholders and experts who specialize in certain types of content (i.e. videos).

We will recruit members as representatives from existing content groups and teams. Representatives from these groups will include the following:

  • Accessibility Committee: Hannah Rogers
  • AUX: Chris Pollette
  • Blog Oversight Subcommittee: Maureen McGavin
  • LibGuide Subcommittee: Jennifer Elder
  • Video Subcommittee: TBD (Colin Bragg interim chair)
  • Web Governance Subcommittee: Colin Bragg (chair)
